Dr Yacoub completed his PhD in Molecular Genetics at AIU in the US (2008) and an MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at JUST-Jordan in 2003. He previously held a position as Associate Professor at the University of Jordan and Head of the Molecular Genetics and Immunodiagnostic Centre at the Speciality Hospital in Amman. Dr Yacoub has hands-on experience in cancer biology by Flow-cytometer, worked with NGS and microarray for the classification of Leukoencephalopathy, single cell Omics as well as Onco-genetics, and many other genetic classifications.

He is a member of the Jordanian Metrology Unit for Biological and Chemical Section ISO 17025, and a member also of ISO15189.
